Software License
How the software behind Rishav Explains is licensed, and what each licence permits.
At a glance
Rishav Explains runs on software built by Lacspace. The platform itself is bespoke, licensed to Rishav Explains under the Lacspace Client Licence. The open Lacspace packages inside it are under the permissive Lacspace Free Licence. Lacspace software is licensed, not sold.
This page explains the software only. Courses, videos, prompts and other learning content belong to Rishav Explains and are not covered by these software licences.

Lacspace Client Licence 1.0
Covers bespoke software built for one client under a signed engagement or statement of work (SOW), which is how the Rishav Explains platform was delivered. Its identifier is LicenseRef-LacspaceClient-1.0. Who owns the code is decided by that agreement: Lacspace may assign the intellectual property to the client, grant an exclusive licence, or keep reusable components.
The client may
- Use the software within the product scope set out in the signed agreement
- Own the intellectual property, or hold an exclusive licence to it, exactly as the agreement states
Restrictions
- No redistribution or resale beyond the agreed scope, unless the agreement allows it
- The software stays a private deliverable and is not published to public registries
- Support and updates cover what the statement of work describes
- The engagement’s confidentiality terms apply
What isn’t allowed
Visitors and learners use this website as a service. The software behind it stays protected, in line with the Lacspace Master License:
Not permitted
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling or reconstructing source code
- Removing proprietary notices or watermarks
- Copying, reselling or redistributing the platform
- Using it to build a competing product or service
- Scraping, unauthorised access, or getting around rate limits
- Any unlawful, fraudulent or malicious use
Breaking these terms can end access immediately. Read the Lacspace Master License.
