How we use it

  • To create your account, sign you in and keep you signed in.
  • To take and confirm orders, and unlock what you bought on your account.
  • To save your progress, so you can continue where you left off on any device.
  • To answer your messages and help with orders.
  • To send the newsletter, only if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We use your data only for these purposes, and we never sell it or rent it to anyone.

Cookies and storage

We use one cookie: a secure sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days after your last visit. It can't be read by scripts on the page, and it's removed when you log out.

Your browser also stores a few things on your device for convenience: your cart, your name (so the header can greet you straight away), where you stopped in each video, and your preferred playback speed. These stay on your device and you can clear them in your browser settings at any time.

There are no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies.

Some lessons may play from YouTube or Vimeo. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, but when you press play, that video service may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Who helps us run the site

A few service providers process data for us, only to run the site and only under our instructions:

  • Vercel: Hosts the website you are reading.
  • Amazon Web Services (Mumbai region): Runs the server behind the site and stores uploaded course files and images.
  • MongoDB Atlas: Hosts the database that holds accounts, orders and progress.
  • Hostinger: Sends email on our behalf.
  • Lacspace: Our technology partner, which builds and maintains the platform.
  • eSewa, Khalti and IME Pay: Process your payment when you pay with them. They handle your wallet PIN; we never see it.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our users and the site from fraud or abuse. Some providers may store data outside Nepal; we choose providers that protect it to a high standard.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and learning progress: for as long as your account is open.
  • Orders: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is deleted.
  • Messages: until they are dealt with, and for a reasonable time afterwards for reference.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Security

Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), the sign-in cookie is protected from page scripts, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • See and correct your name and email any time in Account settings.
  • Get a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Delete your account and personal data, except records we must keep by law, such as orders.
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
  • Withdraw consent or object to how we use your data.

To do any of these, use the contact page. We'll respond within 30 days. These rights apply under the laws of Nepal, including the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018), and wherever else you have them.

Children

The site is for people aged 16 and over. Younger learners should use it with a parent or guardian, who should create the account and make any purchase. If you think a child has given us personal data without permission, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data in a meaningful way, we'll tell you on the site before it takes effect.
